Forbes mentioned eight major alternative energy companies that are directly involved in alternative energy. The following are four of those companies: First Solar, Vestas Wind Systems, Novozymes, and POET. All these companies deal with alternative energy and are successful in their business endeavors.
Their products and services
The name First Solar says it all - the company deals with technology involved in solar technology. Specifically, First Solar creates solar modules that reduce costs in solar electricity production. The company’s ace in the hole is its thin film semiconductor process that makes that possible. By offering more effective modules, First Solar has gotten itself a good market share.
Same with Vestas Wind System, it’s name indicates that it deals with wind power. The main service offered by the company is its wind vanes, without which harnessing wind power would be useless. Since 70% of the costs involved in wind electricity production rests on the vanes, Vestas is making quite a lot.
The next two companies, Novazyme and POET, both deals with biofuels. Novazyme uses enzymes to further maximize biofuel creation and convert agricultural waste to usable energy. POET, on the other hand, is a large producer of corn ethanol, producing millions of gallons of ethanol for its consumers. These two companies provide viable and affordable alternatives to fuel and gasoline, thus paving the way for their success.
